Re-Shoot

After having problems with the previous footage, we chose to re-shoot. We originally were going to re-shoot using shot for shot but we then decided to use more complex and risky camera techniques such as a low angle dutchy shot. When it came to editing, we uploaded the footage and it appeared that the lighting was extremely low. This has been a problem because now we're stuck as to what to choose between our old footage or our new footage that has very dark lighting and poor camera quality.

We also had a dilema with narrative structure - Certain characters are portrayed to play another role for example a character that is suppossed to be a brother is portrayed as a father which makes it confusing. In our new footage, through dialouge we managed to make this confusion clear but we're still uncertain of what footage we will eventually use.

We've had to overcome other problems such as continuity - Not using sound equipment like a Mirantz makes it difficult to cut and edit sound with shots and keep it smooth. Fortunatly, the microphone on the camera is of adequate quality giving us good enough audio.
